Poivre Bengale from Brecourt is an Oriental Spicy fragrance for women and men. Poivre Bengale was launched in 2014. The nose behind this fragrance is Emilie Bouge. Top notes are pepper and ginger; middle notes are cloves, nutmeg and sandalwood; base notes are leather, cashmere wood and ambergris.
The collection of scents “Ephémère” aims at exploring the old and sometimes forgotten universe of rare and precious essences, often abandoned by the modern perfumery, due to high costs or because the raw materials are produced in such a limited quantity that a mass production is not possible.
For the second act of the collection, Emilie Bouge, the creator has been inspired by the route to India. The Long Pepper from Bengala was one of the first spices introduced in Europe, more precious than gold, it has generated wealth through intense sea commerce. The pepper used by Emilie is a special kind, longer than the current one, its taste is a little sweet and aromatic and until now has been used mainly by high-level Chefs. Never used in perfumery until now, it has been blended with Sandalwood, Leather, Grey Amber and Ginger. The result is a hypnotic fragrance, enchanting and sensual.
Top notes: Pepper from Bangala, ginger
Heart notes: Clove absolute, nutmeg and sandalwood
Base notes: Leather, cashmere, grey amber
