Feel good about looking good met John Masters Organics!

By COSMANIA - 31 augustus 2018 - Haircare

Caring about yourself and caring about the earth don't have to be mutually exclusive. For over 20 years, this has been the guiding force of John Masters Organics in creating Super Natural Beauty for your hair, your skin, and your home. John Masters Organics grew out of the desire of John to create a luxury beauty line that treats the earth with respect. The result is the culmination of the hard work performed by people all over the world. Their dedication to growing and harvesting organic and wild-crafted ingredients is honored at John Masters Organics.

We only get one body, and we only get one planet. Why not treat them both with the utmost care? John didn't want to deal with chemicals and synthetics everyday, and he truly believes that when given the option, others would feel the same. Why use synthetics when natural products work better and are safer for the environment? This labor of love has yielded over 49 sumptuous products, and it gives John Masters great pleasure to share this Super Natural Beauty with you.

SUPER NATURAL BEAUTY

Organic 1: relating to or employing agricultural practices that avoid the use of synthetic chemicals in favor of naturally occurring pesticides, fertilizer, and other growing aids.
John Masters Organics is committed to partnering with local farmers who have a proven history of respect towards their environment in how they harvest their ingredients. It is truly inspirational to see how these multi-generational farms continue to employ age-old practices that produce ingredients in the most eco-sensitive way possible.
With wild-harvested ingredients, cold-pressed and steam distilled extracts, John Masters Organics is able to provide unparalleled care for your hair and skin. Because only the world's finest botanicals can make the world's finest products.
All of the organic ingredients John Masters purchases are certified organic by EcoCert, Quality Assurance International, California Certified Organic Farmers, or Organic Crop Improvement Association. All are recognized by the National Organic Program for the USDA.

Why use harsh chemicals in shampoos, styling gels, skin moisturizers and soaps? They were created as cheap substitutes for organic compounds that do a better job. It's better for the body and the earth to simply return to the source: super natural botanicals. At the moment the USDA organic seal is only approved for products that meet their acceptable edible food standards, however, new progress is being made everyday to help create a standard for the cosmetic industry. It is very important to me to have the seal on all of my products as soon as it is available.

All ingredients must meet the strict guidelines of John Masters:

1. All products must be made with 70-100% organic content
2. No sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens, DEA's, MEAs, or TEA's
3. No GMOs (Genetically Modified Organism)
4. No animal testing
5. No artificial colors, fragrances or fillers
6. All plant extracts and essential oils must be certified organic whenever possible
7. All essential oils used must be steam-distilled and not extracted with propylene glycol - which kills the effect of the oils
8. All plant oils must be cold pressed, not heat distilled - which kills the therapeutic properties of plant oils
9. All ingredients must be proven to be beneficial to the hair or skin
10. All ingredients must be harvested in an environmentally-friendly manner (wild-crafted)
11. All ingredients must be bio-degradable as possible

Organic 2: developing in a manner analogous to the natural growth and evolution characteristic of living organisms; arising as a natural outgrowth.
As John's favorite pooch Maya knows, he believes in ethical treatment for all animals. Including humans. His company is endorsed by PETA and the only animal products they use are honey and beeswax. Additionally, by using his upscale salon in SoHo New York to assure the quality of his lines, and by using the best, most organic botanicals, he's able to provide the world with a luxury product like no other.

Organic 3: occurring or developing gradually and naturally, without being forced or contrived.
John Masters supports a simple and clean approach not just to how he creates his products, but also in how he delivers them to his customers. You will never see artificial colors, or fragrances in his ingredients. In addition, all of his packaging uses the minimal amount of ink possible and is printed on 100% recycled and unbleached paper. By creating products that are biodegradable and packaging that is recyclable, you can rest easy knowing that what you put into the earth is as clean as Mother Nature intended it to be. Always natural, always earth-friendly, and always with your beauty and health in mind.

ABOUT JOHN
A Niagra Falls, NY native with a natural talent for cutting and coloring hair, John Masters career skyrocketed in the 1970's with jobs at top salons in Miami and New York. In the 80's, even as recognition of his styling talent grew in fashion and celebrity circles, John became fascinated with organics in his personal life. He began to realize the serious health risks posed by inhaling and handling harsh salon chemicals day to day and became committed to creating a toxin-free salon environment. Eventually, John started to see clients in his NY apartment, where he used only ammonia-free herbal and clay based dyes from Europe and experimented with non-toxic forms of hair care.

In 1991, John created his first organic product, Dry Hair Nourishment and Defrizzer. Ongoing, extensive research and testing of essential oils, plant extracts, and other health-food staples led shortly thereafter to the launch of John Masters Organics, the first comprehensive, luxury-organic hair care line. Still working quietly from his apartment, John (and the products) managed to attract a large and diverse "conscious clientele," and in 1994, he opened his first Soho salon.

Under the name John Masters Organics, the salon quickly gained recognition as the only "clean-air salon" in Manhattan, meaning, they simply would not offer services - perms, manicures and many kinds of color - that require the use of toxic chemicals.

In ensuing years, the visionary John Masters Organics concept has continued to gather momentum. In 2001, the salon outgrew its original space and moved to the current Sullivan St. location. In the same year, John launched a line of paraben-free, organic facial skin care in response to overwhelming customer demand and in 2004, the brand was recipient of the coveted Soil Association Award for Best Organic Product Line in Europe.

Today, John Masters Organics is sold in 20 countries. John Masters splits his time between New York City and his country home in upstate New York, and Maya, his treasured canine companion, is never far from his side. John remains dedicated to developing new products and updating the existing range as more advanced "natural product technologies" become available. His dream is still to provide the, "most organic, most natural product available on the market."
